Niagara Falls - Queen of the Niagara Region
Niagara Falls, Ontario The Queen of the Niagara Region, without question, is Niagara Falls, the World's Most Famous Address and the Honey moon Capital of the World. The vacation destination for more than 16,000,000 visitors a year, from around the globe, Niagara Falls is on the list of one of the places one has to visit in a lifetime. A pretty City of about 82,000, Niagara Falls is still a small town at heart. While most residents of Niagara Falls may not get the opportunity to travel around the world, the world comes to Niagara in a never ending stream every year. Tourism is the number one industry in Niagara Falls and most residents have worked in the industry at some point in their life, usually as a teenager making money for school. Niagara Falls, USA is just across one of the three International Bridges located in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Both sides of the border offer distinctive but beautiful views of the mighty cataracts. The crescent-shaped cataract is 54 M (177 ft) high and carries nine times more water than its United States counterpart. Niagara Falls is an enormously popular tourist destination, and it also serves as a major source of electricity for Ontario.

The city is connected to the U.S. side of the falls by several bridges, including the Rainbow, Whirlpool, and Queenston-Lewiston bridges. Principal manufactures include processed food, abrasives, chemicals, automotive parts, metal and paper goods, and wines and alcoholic beverages. Logistics, i.e. storage and warehousing and information technology/call centres are also important to the city's economy. The City of Niagara Falls covers an area of 212 square kilometres.

So much to do - so little time. This very familiar phrase is never more applicable than Niagara Falls and the surrounding Niagara Region. There is literally something for everyone - no matter what the weather or what the season. Family Fun abounds with the great attractions located throughout Niagara. Clifton Hill, the fun spot of Niagara runs right into Queen Victoria Parkand is alive with lights, action and activity. You hear Clifton Hill before you actually get there with music, laughter and just plain fun racket. Soar above the Falls on the Big Wheel and get an unsurpassed view of the cataracts. If fright is right for you, there are scores of museums, haunted houses and some of the scariest of scary on every corner. One big carnival is the best way to describe Clifton Hill and kids of all ages, just love it.

At the foot of Clifton Hill lies the beautiful Niagara River Parkway and Oakes Garden Theatre. The French formal gardens provide the perfect setting for a romantic walk day or night, winter or summer. Biking trails meander through the Parkway from Fort Erie on Lake Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake situated on Lake Ontario - 33 miles of parkland. The centerpiece in all of this beautiful setting is, of course, the beautiful, majestic Niagara Falls.

Theme parks like Marineland and Safari Niagara/Zooz in Stevensville offer a whole day of fun for visitors and Safari Niagara/Zooz also offers evening concerts throughout the summer months which are tops on the to do list for many people.
